The only reason you may receive offers for credit after opting out is if you have an existing relationship with a company. Such as a loan from a car dealer or credit card, or had a credit-based loan with a company in the past. Those companies can solicit you legally, but the others cannot. You will need to contact these companies directly to be removed from their list.

If you find incorrect information on your credit report you can contact the credit bureaus directly to have it corrected. You will be asked to complete a dispute form which you can complete online or by mail.
